A dominant fourth quarter lifted the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears over a hot shooting Station Camp team Friday, 56-41.
The Lady Bison actually led late in the third quarter, 35-34, but the Lady Bears took the lead back going into the fourth behind a Mimi Jackson two. Early on, it was all Mt. Juliet as a full court press helped the Lady Bears start the game on a 7-0 run. At the end of the first, they led 16-5. Station Camp came alive in the second and cut it to six. However, a Paige Baugher three made it 23-14 going into the break.
A Chelsea Davis three cut the Lady Bears lead to 26-24 in the third, and Kia Perry gave the Lady Bison the lead at 27-26. Caya Williams took the lead back with two free throws, but another Perry three put Station Camp back out in front. Jackson and Williams both nailed two free throws on back-to-back possessions to made it 32-30 Lady Bears.
A few possessions later, Davis hit a two to make it 35-34 Station Camp, but freshman Jackson gave the Lady Bears the lead going into the fourth, and the lead would never be surrendered again.
The fourth was all Lady Bears. They had a 14-0 run to start and outscored the Lady Bison 20-6 in the quarter. Williams led the Lady Bears with 28 points, and Sally McCabe had 12. Perry led Station Camp with 15.

The nightcap was all Bears, as Mt. Juliet cruised to a 61-46 victory. The Bears jumped out to a 14-10 first quarter lead and extended it to 32-19 by the half.
Mt. Juliet never let the Bison back into the game, leading 46-34 going into the fourth and coming away with the 16 point victory. Caleb Chowbay led Mt. Juliet with 16. DaShawn McMurry had 15 and Chandler Frazier finished with 10. Travis Bush led Station Camp with 12. The Bears traveled to Gallatin Tuesday. The games started after press time.
