When we receive unexpected flowers, it puts a smile on our face. With the generous gift made by Moss’ Florist in Mt. Juliet along with the Tennessee Teleflora Unit, the residents and visitors at McKendree Village Health Care Center in Hermitage will have lots of reasons to smile.Forty-five Be Happy Bouquets have been donated to brighten the rooms and faces of residents at McKendree Village in recognition of Teleflora’s 12th annual “Make Someone Smile Week” running from Sunday, July 22 through Saturday, July 28. A network including thousands of Teleflora member florist and community volunteers will deliver unexpected floral deliveries to nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and through Meal-on-Wheels programs across the country.
Phil Chandler, President of Tennessee’s Teleflora Unit, and Charlotte Woosley, Secretary, personally delivered the Be Happy Bouquets to the McKendree Village campus. Known as “The Heart of Hermitage”, McKendree Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community which has been providing quality housing, services and nursing care for almost 50 years. This community offers rental cottages, independent apartments, assisted living, secure memory care, physical rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long term and respite care.
