Certified Instructor, Deb Walter will lead a six weeks program for those with arthritis. The program is designed to educate individuals on successful physical activity for people with arthritis. The class also addresses how to develop a safe ongoing aerobic fitness program while managing their disease.Classes are one hour and meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at one pm at the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center. The center is located at 2034 North Mt. Juliet Road. The class is free for center members. Membership is just $20 per year.
The mission of the center is to provide a place for older adults (aged 55+) to gather for social, educational and recreational activities and to alleviate isolation and loneliness among the elderly.
Younger adults with arthritis may take the class. The program begins on Aug. 20 and will end on Sept. 28. Call to reserve you spot in the class today 758-9114.
