The 31st annual Mt. Juliet Pow-Wow is Sept. 22-23 at the new location of Mundy Memorial Park.
Gates open at 10:30 a.m. The public is welcome. Admission is free for kids 5-and-under, $4 for kids or $7 for 13-and-up.There will be over $11,000 in prize money for intertribal dancing. All dancers are welcome.
Dance contest is $11,000, adults and golden, $500, $300 and $200 and drum contest $2,000.
There will be Apache Crown Dancers with performances daily, Native American food, Native American dancing, Native American music and hoop dancer performances daily.
There will be a canned food drive booth set up as well, if you would like to bring a donation.
Donations will go to the food pantry at the Cherokee reservation in Cherokee, NC. Coats and clothes donations are also welcome and will go to one of the reservations in South Dakota.
