The Second Annual Celebrate Mt. Juliet Walk to benefit the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center is Saturday, Oct. 27, starting at 8 a.m.
There will be a three and six mile walk, which will begin and end at the senior center.The route will start north for a mile and a half, then circle back. If you walk the six mile course, you will go south on Mt. Juliet Road for a mile and a half.
There will also be a half mile mini-walk for kids and seniors that will start at 8:30 a.m.
Registration starts at 7 p.m. Participants will be able to sign up in advance for the walk and also for the annual spaghetti day which will take place on Friday, the day before the walk.
Lunch is served from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and dinner 4 – 7 p.m.
Opening ceremonies begin at 7:45 p.m.
There will be a two water stations on the course and one at the finish.
Security, first aid and traffic control will be a priority for the event.
Post event festivities include refreshments & a concert by, “The Bonna Brothers.”
The honorary chair for the event is News Channel 5’s Vicki Yates.
Cost is $20 and includes commemorative T-shirt designed by artist, Sally Murphy, Walk and Post Walk Festivities.
The mini walk for kids and seniors is $10
Friday, Spaghetti Lunch or Dinner is $8 per person, $4 for children under 10
