Most importantly, says Commissioner Giles, is his “strong support of smaller, more effective and efficient government in Mt. Juliet.” Giles continued that, “Mt. Juliet has a strong heritage of adopting responsible budgets, bringing in construction projects on time and under budget, and ending each year with a larger surplus than budgeted for. I will work as hard as possible to carry that history through the next four years.”
Giles is a local business owner, a member of the Rotary Club, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. As a hand-gun carrying permit advocate, he will always protect our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
As a member of the local Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship Incorporated, Giles has served on the advisory board for many years and is the current music director of the Bible-based group, which welcomes any member of the community to its meetings. He has also been a former sponsor of Mt. Juliet Little League baseball, which he fully supports.
Giles has strong family values, as do the residents of District 3. Every member of his family is a Christian and attends Life Assembly Church in Mount Juliet. He and his wife, Jill, principal of W.A.
