Mt. Juliet Christian Academy is proud to announce that Noah Wilson has been selected to the 2012 Division II Class A East/ Middle All Region Football Squad.
Head Coach Jake Roberts says, “I am so proud of Noah and what all he has done to place himself in this esteemed position. He has worked tremendously hard, and we are more than happy to have him represent us on this stage.”Wilson was the backbone of the 2012 Mt. Juliet Christian offense as only a junior. He played running back and defensive back this past season.
“He kept us in several games, and really made some spectacular plays that only he could make,” Roberts added. He went on to add, “He has such a strong work ethic and is character driven. He is a true testament that hard work and strong character always pays off”.
In addition to Wilson’s first team accomplishment, Elliott Lee was selected as second team to the Division II Selection. Lee, a Junior Fullback and Linebacker for the 2012 Saints, was the anchor of the defense, and workhorse for the offense.
“Without Elliott, our Offense and Defense, just wouldn’t work,” Roberts said. He went on to add, “Whenever we needed a first down, I always knew to give it to Elliott. He is one of the toughest, hard-working, and determined athletes that I have ever coached. I’m just glad he’s on our team. I wouldn’t ever want to send one of our running backs one on one with him filling the hole.”
Zack Jones (Jr. – TE/DE.), Gilbert Russ (Jr. – C/ LB), and Andy Pitman (Jr. – FS/RB/WR) all gained Honorable Mention Accolades for their efforts in the 2012 season. Roberts said, “Each of these young men does everything the right way, and that makes the future of our program brighter than ever. With our new locker room and indoor facilities, this group of upcoming Seniors are dedicated to a cause that is greater than themselves, and that is to bring respect to MJCA Football”.
