MJHS Winter Guard, Drum Line need donations to get to World Championships

The Mt. Juliet High School Winter Guard and Drum Line are needing money to compete in the World Championships in Dayton, Ohio next week.

The MJHS Winter Guard will travel to the Winter Guard International World Championships April 10-14 in Dayton. The Mt. Juliet winter guard is currently ranked eighth of 120 groups participating in championships.  They are trying to raise about $5,000 to fund their trip.

The guard has had a fantastic season and will compete for the state championships over the weekend at Belmont University.  The guard is made up of 20 students from Mt. Juliet High School and Mt. Juliet Middle School.

The MJHS Winter Drum Line will also travel to Dayton for the percussion world championships April 17-20.  The MJHS percussionists have had a fantastic season and they will go to Dayton with the fifth highest score posted this season.  The winter drum line is made up of 39 students from the high school and middle school.  They also will compete at the state tournament this weekend at Belmont.  They are trying to raise about $10,000 to go Dayton.
