Four more liquor store applications were filed by Friday for a third location in Mt. Juliet.
Three of the locations were on Lebanon Road close to the Davidson County line, and one was off the Beckwith Road, I-40 exit.
Mt. Juliet Liquors, LLC applied for a store in the Shiloh shopping center on the Davidson County and Wilson County line. Monarch M. Desai applied for Legacy Wine & Spirits in the West Wilson Plaza Shopping Center where Dunkin Donuts and Cinco De Mayo are located. G.J. Partners applied for a location at 14310 Lebanon Road next to the HDP Motorcycle Shop is located. Chhaya A. Patel applied for a location on the corner of Beckwith Road and South Rutland Road.
Two locations have already been approved. One is in a yet to be built building on Providence Parkway and the other is at 11344 and 11350 Lebanon Road where the Boost Mobile is now located. That location will be open in the coming months, and the Providence location is still several months away.
The Alcoholic Beverage Commission will review the applications at their April 23 meeting and will make their recommendations to the City Commission. The commission will make a decision at the May 13 meeting for the third location.
