Mistakes and an injury to starting quarterback Nolan Chowbay hurt Mt. Juliet in a 41-3 loss to Station Camp Friday.

Mt. Juliet came up with a fumble recovery and a stop on the Bison’s first two drives.

On the Bears second drive, Chowbay rolled out to the right and was tackled near the sidelines. He exited the game with a broken collarbone and wouldn’t return. Junior Alex Landis took his place, but Mt. Juliet couldn’t get anything going against an attacking Bison defense.

Josh Malone scored on a 67-yard reception, and Station Camp recovered a bloop kickoff to get the ball back. Trey Malone scored from three yards out a few plays later.

Station Camp would block a punt leading to another touchdown, then got a pick six on the next drive. The Bison would get another touchdown before the half and lead 35-0.

Mt. Juliet would get on the board in the fourth quarter when Justin Dubay connected on a 42-yard field goal.

Mt. Juliet will regroup and head back home to face Blackman (3-0) Friday. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
