The Cedar Creek Community Band (CCCB) is an all-volunteer group of local musicians of all ages who gather and perform in the Greater Wilson County Area. They are led by Director and Founder – Sherie Grossman. The group formed in 2007 as a part of The Arts Alliance of Middle Tennessee and is now some 50 musicians strong and growing. They are a large concert band with brass, woodwind and percussion instrumentation. Sherie states that, “We practice every Monday night from August through May from 7 to 9 p.m. and are always looking for additional musicians. It is so wonderful to offer this opportunity to play and perform to former marching/concert/jazz band players who played in high school or college but have limited options to play as adults. It is a lot of fun and very rewarding.”
After the concert at Charlie Daniels Park CCCB is scheduled to perform their annual Christmas Concert, Monday Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. with guests The Jazz Alliance at Mt. Juliet High School auditorium.
