Kyle Smith ran for 173 yards and three scores, but Mt. Juliet couldn’t slow down Hendersonville in a 59-20 loss.
Hendersonville rolled up 394 yards of total offense, all on the ground, and took advantage of three Mt. Juliet fumbles.
The Commandoes led at the half 31-0. After extending it to 38-0, Smith got his first touchdown from 52 yards, and added another before the end of the third from 28 yards out.
Smith would get another score in the fourth from 36 yards out.
The Bears are outside looking in the playoff race currently. In the latest playoff standings, Mt. Juliet is the fourth team out.
Mt. Juliet is off Friday, and return to action Friday, Oct. 25 on the road at Gallatin. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
