Quarterback, Ric Van Mali completed a 60 yard scoring drive by running the ball in for the score – but a two-point conversion attempt failed at the 6:53 mark. On the ensuing possession, Zion fumbled on their own thirteen yard line. Only 41 seconds later, a Van Mali touchdown pass to sophomore receiver, Race McLean, closed the Zion lead to three points at 23-20.
The Eagles increased their lead to ten points on a 40 yard touchdown pass play and carried a 30-20 lead into the fourth quarter.

Zion Christian attempted a comeback of their own – but with no time outs and forced to pass, the Eagles’ final pass was intercepted by defensive back, Daniel Bohme to seal the victory for the Saint’s third win of the season.
