Christmas Family Assistance Request Forms are now available at the Mt. Juliet Community Center and the Health Center next to the Celebration Lutheran Church on N. Mt. Juliet Road until Dec. 13.
Big Brothers Annual Mother’s Toy Store will be held at the Mt. Juliet Middle School Saturday, Dec. 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. It is an opportunity for parents with limited means to shop free of charge for holiday gifts for their children ages newborn to 16 years, and for their special needs children up to 21 years old.
To shop at Mother’s Toy Store, parents need to provide their picture ID, official proof of their address, an official form of identification of each of their children with proof of age, and documented proof of a need for financial support. Social Security cards cannot be used for identification.
Last year, the non-profit volunteer organization was able to supply toys to more than 600 Mt. Juliet children, and to deliver food baskets to 325 area families. Big Brothers’ President Sherry Bilbrey reminds applicants to put their copy of the application form in a safe place. “It’s required in order to be served at Mother’s Toy Store.
