The Mt. Juliet baseball team had no problem with the competition at the Wilson County Invitational last week.
The Bears outscored their opponents 44-7 in four wins over Page, Summit, Trousdale County and Giles County.
Mt. Juliet beat Page, 9-0, Summit, 5-4, Trousdale County, 18-3, and Giles County, 12-0.
Marshall Gei, Curt Hoppe, Jonathan Smith and Zach Austin got the wins in those games. Hoppe ended the game against Giles County with walk-off home run to enact the run rule.
Mt. Juliet picked up their first district win of the season Monday against Gallatin, 9-0. Austin Smith picked up the win.
Mt. Juliet will host four more games this week in the Warrior Clasic. They will host Dobyns-Bennett at 6 p.m. Thursday, Houston at 8 p.m. Friday and two games Saturday. They will play Bradley Central at 11 a.m. and Powell at 1:30 p.m.

MJ Softball wins two
The Mt. Juliet softball team picked up two shutouts last week.
Savannah Sanders struck out 15 in the Lady Bears 3-0 win over Portland Thursday. They picked up another win Friday against Siegel, 6-0.
The Lady Bears are now 10-1 on the season. Mt. Juliet will travel to Wilson Central Wednesday. They will travel again this weekend to the Chattanooga Choo Choo Classic.

Mt. Juliet soccer got their second win of the season Thursday, with a 6-1 victory over Smyrna.
Cameron Woodfin got his second hat trick in as many games as the Bears led at the half, 4-0. Colbe Earles, Chris Prybilla and Landon Bauer had goals as well.
David Siever and Tanner DaBell each had two assists.
Zack McGhee and Chandler Bauder also had assists.
The Bears will play at Oakland Thursday, 6 p.m.
Central softball knocks off
Wilson Central went to Hendersonville Monday night and came away with a 2-0 victory, improving their record to 9-7.
Morgan Powell snapped a scoreless game in the sixth inning with a homerun, which proved to be all the scoring that fellow Junior Hannah Bodenhorn would need. Bodenhorn pitched all seven innings, giving up one hit while striking out 13 batters. Central scored its second run in the top of the seventh inning when Claire Smith walked, moved to second on a ground ball by Karlie Odum and scored on a single by Kayla Varner. Odum and Kendall Eden got the other two hits for Central in the game.

MJCA Lady Saints win 2 more
The Lady Saints defeated Pearl Cohn Thursday at MJCA 16-7.
Winning pitcher Caitlyn Smith pitched a complete game allowing five hits and had 11 strike outs.
Sophomore Liz Russ had four RBIs, sophomore Kendra Roberston had two RBIs, freshman Abi Hildabrand one RBI and eighth grader Caitlyn Smith three RBIs.
The Lady Saints defeated Lighthouse Christian Friday in Antioch 28-9.
Winning pitcher Smith pitched three innings, allowing two runs and had six strike outs. Russ made her first pitching appearance of the season and pitched one inning. The Lady Saints had against home runs in the game. Junior Ashley Walling had three home runs, Hildabrand had two home runs and Smith had one home run. MJCA had a total of 20 hits. MJCA remains undefeated on the season at 6-0.
