On Tuesday, Ascend Federal Credit Union held a grand opening for its new financial center at 300 Pleasant Grove Road, Suite 510, in Mt. Juliet.
The Mt. Juliet financial center is the 16th Middle Tennessee location for the Tullahoma based credit union.
“Ascend has been helping members reach their financial goals for more than 60 years,” Ascend’s volunteer Board of Directors Treasurer Randal Braker said. “This new facility enables us to more effectively deliver our brand promise to educate and help members become effective financial stewards.”
The new financial center will also help the credit union provide more convenient access to their members in Wilson County, according to Ascend President and CEO Caren Gabriel.
“This beautiful new facility features amenities similar to other Ascend locations, with a few surprises,” Gabriel said. “A new area referred to as a ‘huddle’ space offers an open, more relaxed option to the credit union’s member rooms. Acend’s new Personal Assistance Service System (PASSport) enables members in the drive-up to interact with tellers via video and touchscreen. And, a device bar shows how the free Ascend app and other electronic account access tools function on a mobile device.”
With $1.675 billion in assets and more than 145,000 members, Ascend is the largest credit union in Middle Tennessee and one of the largest federally chartered credit unions in the United States. For the past nine years, Ascend has returned more than $50 million to members in bonus dividends and loan interest refunds.
Ascend is federally insured by the NCUA. Membership is limited.
