Both north and south siders of Mt. Juliet will possibly have a chance to enjoy Starbucks coffee in the near future.
In addition to the property already in process in Providence, Starbucks has signed a letter of intent on a property near the corner of N. Mt. Juliet Road and Lebanon Road according to a recent post by Mt. Juliet/West Wilson Chamber President Mark Hinesley. Mt. Juliet City Manager Kenny Martin confirmed it at the Board of Commissioners meeting Monday.
Hinesley said it would be exciting for the north side to get a place like Starbucks.
“Certainly getting a Starbucks could ignite other businesses to give reconsideration to the area,” said Hinesley.
Hinesley also mentioned that construction is already underway on Mt. Juliet first indoor gun range to be located on Lebanon Road. The plans include a gun-related retail storefront as well.
Another apartment complex is set for the Providence area, as an extension on Providence Parkway on the West side of S. Mt. Juliet Road will hold the Creekside at Providence Apartments. Apartments will be 1-3 bedrooms, with rents going from $900 to $1,700.
Hinesley said the high dollar apartments will be great for the area since the City is trying to draw more white collar jobs to upcoming Providence Central area. He said 35 percent of people are renters by choice, and companies will be enticed to see they have luxury apartments nearby.
