Wood-Tex Products have always been known in their home state of New York for doing what they say they were going to do, and treating their customers how they would want to be treated.
When looking for a new location, the middle Tennessee area, in particular Mt. Juliet, seemed like the place to be.
“It was a perfect fit,” said CEO Kent Lapp.
Lapp said that they have always had an old-fashioned way of doing things, that which was established by his father when he started the business in the Finger Lakes region of New York. He said he found that here in Middle Tennessee. Before they had moved the business here, Lapp had visited the area on business and fell in love with Nashville. He planned on moving his family here, but realized this would be a perfect place to expand the family business.
Wood-Tex Products specializes in storage sheds, garages, horse barns, cabins and chicken coops, sold right to the customer. Many of the structures will be manufactured at the location on Lebanon Road. Wood-Tex tries not to outsource their labor, so anywhere from the production to delivery guys are on their staff.
On Sept. 13, Wood-Tex Products will be holding their grand opening. It will be a day of food and fun, with free hamburgers and hot dogs, specials on products, a chicken coop giveaway, bounce houses for the kids.
Wood-Tex will also be at the Wilson County Fair this year, so you can check out what they are all about.
