|Eat, Drink & Be Merry: Peachwave Frozen Yogurt|
|Tuesday, June 26, 2012|
Peachwave Frozen Yogurt owner Tom Lee wants to do more than serve great frozen yogurt and smoothies.
“We are here to serve the community,” said Lee.
Lee says that he wants to give Peachwave a coffee shop like atmosphere, and part of that comes with helping the community. Peachwave gives discounts daily to veterans and senior citizens. He also wants fundraising groups to come visit him, so he can see if Peachwave can help.
“If a group needs exposure, we can help with that,” said Lee.
Also, to help have the coffee shop atmosphere, Lee said Peachwave will have open mic nights on Fridays. It doesn’t matter what you want to do – sing, read poetry, tell jokes – as long as it is family friendly, you can do it.
Lee said he searched for six months to find the right smoothie for Peachwave. He tasted tons, but the one he settled on just so happened to be the healthiest option. Every smoothie is 100 percent crushed fruit, with no sugar added.
“And it tastes great,” said Lee.
He also said that you will also be able to add things to the smoothie like protein to make it healthier.
Their Signature Shakes are meant to be as meal replacers. In addition to the health benefits, the ingredients are all organic. It is made with all whole foods.
“There is nothing processed in any of our shakes,” said Lee.
Like many frozen yogurt self service places, there will be several different options to choose from, and lots of different toppings. Lee assures everyone that they will have the highest quality frozen yogurt he can find.
They make the yogurt fresh, every day in the store. They make each in small batches, so it will be as fresh as possible. You can get free samples when you come in to see what yogurt works best for you.
On Fridays, they have a guess your weight competition. If you can guess the exact weight of your yogurt, then you get it for free. Lee said people have been coming in on other days of the week just to practice.
