The Mt. Juliet FFA Alumni Chapter will hold their annual yard sale on Saturday, November 6, from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on lawn of West Wilson Middle school near the south entrance. The sale will have new items that have been donated to the FFA from Tractor Supply Company. A wide variety will include  Carhartt Jacket, Pet Beds, Pet Treats, Pet Toys, men’s clothing, Bird Feeders, Ladies Slogger boots, Solar lights, Children’s toys, Indoor composter, Flower baskets, Christmas cards, Gas Heater, Jump starter, Thermals, and other items too numerous to list. Proceeds from the sale support the alumni’s mission of helping the local high school FFA Chapter with scholarships, awards for members, and other parts of the annual program of activities.

Mount Juliet Christian Academy Shopping Extravaganza is Saturday, November 6, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.  Shop from 50 vendors selling a variety of specialty items including handcrafted pens, home decor, spa & baby items, candles, handbags, gourmet cupcakes, clothing, jewelry, art, puppets, baskets, ethnic food & crafts, embroidered items and more. The silent auction features Titans memorabilia, local area attractions, getaway packages including Wilderness in the Smokies, concert tickets, themed baskets & much more. Final bids will be taken at 4 p.m.  Kids' games and an inflatable during morning hours plus a classic car drive in. The Stoner Creek Elementary Fall Carnival will be presented on Saturday, November 6, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. This is a family-friendly event with games, food, a basket auction, entertainment, “surprise guests,” craft booths and displays from local businesses. A Sumner Co 10U Competitive Baseball Club will have tryouts for the 2011 Season on Saturday, November 6, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Gallatin High School baseball field in Municipal Park. Sweeten up a soldier by donating your Halloween candy! Associated Children’s Dentistry is hosting a candy exchange on Saturday, November 6, from 12 - 3 p.m. Bring your Halloween candy, meet and greet with soldiers, and help decorate cards for our troops. West Elementary will host its annual fall festival on November 6. This event will take place at West Elementary School beginning at 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. Vendor booth space is available but limited and is on a first come first serve basis. Please call 453-4470 for more information.

Saturday, Nov. 8

The regular monthly meeting of the Wilson County Democratic Party will be held on Monday, November 8, at 6:30 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the WCDP headquarters at 228 W. Saturday, Nov. 9

Wilson County Democratic Women will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, at Wilson County Democrat Head Quarters, 228 W. Main Street in Lebanon (behind Coxs').  Members are asked to bring cans of green peas for the Mt. Juliet Help Center. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Liberty State Bank will host a Veteran’s Breakfast on Wednesday, November 10, from 8 – 10 a.m., featuring a guest speaker and brief presentation. Saturday, Nov. 11

All military veterans, their immediate families and all Gold Star Mothers are invited to a free breakfast for you and your family (spouse and children at home) on Thursday, November 11, at the Lebanon Golf & Country Club, beginning at 6:45 a.m. The breakfast is sponsored by the Lebanon Breakfast Rotary Club, which requests that attendees call 453-0211 or 417-8131 by November 9 and inform the group of how many people you will have attending. There will be a brief program to honor and recognize you. Dress is casual – come as you are. Lebanon Golf & Country Club is located at 1300 Coles Ferry Pike in Lebanon.

The 3rd Annual Christmas Craft Fair at Carroll Oakland Elementary School in Lebanon will be held on November 13 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. This unique shopping event offers over 60 vendors selling handmade crafts as well as commercial retail to supply those special gifts for the holidays. Hermitage United Methodist Women present their annual Fall Festival on Saturday, November 13, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 205 Belinda Drive (next to McKendree Towers). The event will include a pancake breakfast from 8 – 10 a.m., over 40 booths, a silent auction, fresh Georgia pecans and HUMC cookbooks. Proceeds benefit HUMW mission work.
