Lebanon Road was shut down for two hours Tuesday, May 6 as Mt. Juliet Police and Wilson EMA investigated a three-car crash that sent three to the hospital in critical condition, one of which died days later from the injuries.

The incident happened in front of the Mt. Juliet League parks. Justin Odom, 22, Lebanon was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pickup eastbound on Lebanon when he lost control, fishtailed, and hit a 2013 Ford Explorer head on. The driver and passenger of the Explorer were Timothy Cole, 49, and Tracie Cole, 43, Old Hickory. A third car, a Mazda M3 driven by Kristin Wilkerson, 22, Mt. Juliet rear ended the Explorer. The initial investigation reports that Odom’s first contributing action was “Failure to Keep in Proper Lane.”

Odom was taken to Vanderbilt ER by lifeflight in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries overnight, Monday, May 12. The Coles were taken to Vanderbilt ER by ambulance, also in critical condition. Wilkerson was treated and released by medical personnel at the scene.
