MJ, Central still alive in softball district tournament PDF Print E-mail

Wilson Central got home runs from Brittany Wiseman and Lauren Stavinoga Monday in demolishing Gallatin, 13-0, in the District 9-AAA Tournament.
Central was stunned by Portland Friday, 8-6, sending them into the loser’s bracket. The game Monday kept their hopes alive.
Stavinoga finished the game 2-for-2 with the blast over the scoreboard at Mt. Juliet High School. She had three RBIs. Wiseman, who was 1-for-3, hit an inside the park home run and had two RBIs. Morgan Powell was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Kaitlyn Clark, Kelci Swafford and Rachel Tichenor had a RBI apiece.
Hannah Bodenhorn improved to 14-6 with the win on the mound.

Lauren Woodard picked up the win Friday for Mt. Juliet as they beat Hendersonville, 11-8. Savannah Sanders got the save.
Ashton Stowe drove in three RBIs on three hits. Brittany Graves had two RBIs on three base hits.
Mt. Juliet knocked off Lebanon, 3-2, Tuesday. They host Beech Wednesday at 8 p.m.
