Wilson Central softball closed the regular season with three wins.
The Lady Wildcats visited Lebanon Thursday night and came away with an 8-4 victory.
Central was led by Kaitlyn Clark’s three hits in four at-bats, while also getting two hits apiece from Allie Bennett and Lauren Stavinoga, including an inside-the-park home run from Bennett.
Clark scored three runs while driving in two, and Stavinoga also contributed three RBIs. Rachel Tichenor had a key 2-run single in the top of the seventh to extend the lead to 8-4. Hannah Bodenhorn picked up the win pitching seven innings, giving up four runs while striking out eight.

Central hosted Pope John Paul II Friday night in a non-district game.
Central came out with a 9-4 victory.
The Lady Wildcats were limited to six hits in the game, led by Ashley Eldridge’s 3 RBIs. Tichenor added two RBIs, while Central got doubles from Eldridge, Bennett, while getting singles from Tichenor, Kendall Eden, Carmen Ruby and Brittany Wiseman.

Donelson Christian Academy visited Wilson Central Monday on Senior Night for the Lady Wildcats.
DCA leadoff hitter, Emma Moore, scored in the first inning off Courtney Hammers ground ball to shortstop.
Central responded with a run in the bottom of the inning when Eldridge led things off with a triple followed by Bennett’s infield single. Central scored two more in the bottom of the second inning when Morgan Powell led off with a double and was moved to third on a sacrifice bunt before scoring on Kelci Swafford’s RBI double. Swafford’s courtesy runner scored on a nicely executed squeeze bunt by Carmen Ruby. Morgan Powell pitched four innings, giving up four hits while striking out five batters.
Bodenhorn came on to relieve Powell, pitching three innings of no-hit ball while striking out five batters as well.
Kelci Capella pitched six innings in defeat for DCA, striking out eight Central hitters while giving up nine hits.
Getting hits for DCA were Emma Moore, Sarah Jane Barfield, Pressley LaCoursierre, and Jessica West. The win improved Central’s record to 31-13 overall.
Central baseball suffers 2 losses
Central suffered two losses Saturday and Monday to Brentwood and Clarksville.
Brentwood got the best of the Wildcats on Senior Night with a 7-3 win.
Senior Hunter Brothers was 1-for-3 with a two run home run in the second inning.
Dylan Lannom suffered the loss.

Clarksville picked up the win Monday night over Central, 3-1.
Ethan Heus pitched well, going six innings and only giving up three hits, but Clarksville’s Ben Bleyle held Central to just one hit.
Jacob Wood picked up Central’s only hit.
