Mt. Juliet made it to the finals of the Soddy-Daisy Trojan Classic, but came up short to Collierville, 6-2. 
The Bears had beaten the Dragons earlier in the week, 8-5. 
Before the tournament, Mt. Juliet got two district wins over Station Camp. The Bears won both games 4-0. 
On Wednesday, the Bears picked up a run in the second and fifth, then two more in the seventh. 
Hunter Gilbert and Mason Barber had one RBI apiece in the game. 
Kyle Smith dominated on the mound, going all seven innings and striking out 10. 
Thursday, the Bears picked up a run in the third, fourth and two in the fifth. 
Zach Tompkins had two RBIs. Cody Carr and Forrest Goodwin were both 2-for-3 and picked up one apiece. 
Caleb Chowbay picked up the win, going five innings and striking out four. Connor Sugg got his eighth save of the season. 
Later, Mt. Juliet picked up the win over Collierville behind two home runs by Kyle Smith. 
Smith was 3-for-4 in the game and had four RBIs.  
Mt. Juliet picked up at least a run in every inning but the fifth. 
Tompkins was also 3-for-4 and picked up two RBIs. Carr picked up the other RBI on a 2-for-4 night. 
Josh Smith got the win on the mound in relief. Sugg picked up his ninth save. 
The tournament moved to the Chattanooga area Friday, as Mt. Juliet downed Rhea County, 2-1. 
The Bears picked up a run in the first and fourth. Gilbert and Kyle Smith had the Mt. Juliet RBIs. 
Brandon Smith got the win, going six innings and striking out three. Campbell Scholl picked up the save. 
The Bears offense got back on track in the next game against Walker Valley, winning 9-3. 
The Bears got three in the second, two in the third, one in the sixth and three more in the seventh. 
Tompkins and Austyn Dyer had home runs in the game. Dyer was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Chowbay was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Barber, Gilbert and Goodwin also had RBIs. 
Josh Smith went all seven innings for the win, striking out seven. 
Mt. Juliet then moved on to the semifinals to face Bradley Central, and came away with a 4-1 win. 
The Bears got two runs in the first, one in the third and one in the fifth. Bradley Central only managed a run in the sixth. 
Forrest Goodwin picked up three RBIs on one base hit and a sacrifice fly. Barber picked up the other RBI. 
Scholl and Sugg combined for a one-hitter. Scholl pitched five innings and struck out seven. Sugg pitched the final two innings for his 10th save of the season. 
Collierville took the early lead in the finals, going up 3-0 in the first. Mt. Juliet took two back in the bottom of the inning. The Dragons picked up three more runs in the fourth, but Mt. Juliet wasn’t able to answer. Tompkins and Goodwin had the Bear RBIs.
