LEBANON - Jacob Williams finished with a double-double, and Blake Huffman hit two free throws with one second left to lift Wilson Central to a 48-46 win over Lebanon Friday.

Tied at 46-46, Huffman got to the basket. The layup rimmed out, but a foul was called. Huffman came up big and hit both free throws.

Williams did most of his damage in the second half, scoring 21 of his 26 points after the intermission. He helped the Wildcats overcome a poor shooting performance in the first half when they couldn’t get anything to fall.

The game was tied after one quarter at 10-10, but Lebanon pulled ahead 19-14 by the break. Both teams were staying with full court pressure, which wasn’t generating a ton of points, but keeping each other off the board.

Williams heated up in the third quarter, scoring 10 of the 15 Wildcat points in the quarter, and Central took the lead, 29-28, going into the fourth.

The two teams traded big shot after big shot in the fourth quarter. Zimmer Hunn put Lebanon up by four at 42-38, but Williams scored on back-to-back possessions to tie it back up. Zachary Santana hit a jumper for the Blue Devils, but Williams answered with two free throws. Ben Palmer gave Central the lead at 46-44, but Keshon Abston answered with a putback to tie it back up again.

With nine seconds left, Huffman got it at the top of the key, found a crease and got to the hole. The layup was missed, but the foul sent him to the line where he sealed the game.

Lebanon had one last chance, but a full court pass was knocked away by the Central defense.

Williams led all scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Huffman added 10 points. Keshon Abston led Lebanon with 14 points.
