|Martin sworn in as City Manager|

Kenny Martin was sworn in as the new City Manager during the Board of Commissioners meeting Monday.
“I’m the most blessed and fortunate person,” said Martin. “I love this town, I love the people.”
There was a reception before the meeting for Martin.
“I’m going to be working everyday to make [Mt. Juliet] better than the day before,” Martin promised the citizens.
Martin’s first meeting after being officially sworn in was a short one.
The commissioners voted to revise and re-adopt new boundaries for the commission districts of Mt. Juliet.
They also approved new zoning regulations for temporary uses, such as temporary vendors.
Funds were appropriated to add an additional police patrolman as well.
A resolution amending an agreement between the City of Mt. Juliet and Civil Site Design Group to update drawings and reapply for permits to construct improvements to the existing stream crossing on the easterly end of Cedar Creek Drive.
The final vote of the night was a resolution requesting that the State of Tennessee approve the Wilson County TDOT Enhancement Program Application for 2012 so the funding can be utilized to construct a visitors’ center along the I-40 corridor in Wilson County.
