Hayley Richey MJHS Intern Writer This past week, the Mt. Juliet High School FFA travelled up to Indiana for the 85th National Convention. The teams that competed, Poultry Judging and Ag. Marketing, walked away with silver and gold ratings. The Poultry Judging team placed 14th in the nation, leaving them with a Gold rating, the highest you can get. The marketing team received a silver rating, placing in the top ten of the nation. There were over 55,000 thousand FFA members in attendance from across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Although the students are very serious about competitions, they got to let loose a bit and enjoy it as well. Most students were thrilled to get to see Luke Bryan perform at a concert during the convention. |
