|Modern Woodmen help Animal Shelter|

Each year on the fourth Saturday in October, volunteers from coast to coast pull out their can-do spirit and vow to improve their communities on Make A Difference Day, a national day of service.
On Oct. 27, local Modern Woodmen of America members joined this nationwide effort.
Members of Modern Woodmen made a difference by shopping for the wish list at Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter and the New Leash on Life Shelter in Lebanon. Several local chapters together purchased over $1,250 worth of supplies for the two organizations.
“On Make A Difference Day, our members can look forward to feeling good by doing good and being part of a nationally recognized event,” says Kevin Copeland, local Modern Woodmen contact.
Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to take part in social activities and community service projects to meet local needs. Youth service clubs provide young Modern Woodmen members with opportunities to volunteer, be patriotic, learn new skills, make friends and have fun.

As a tax-exempt fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodmen sells life insurance, annuity and investment* products not to benefit stockholders but to improve the quality of life of its stakeholders – members, their families and their communities. This is accomplished through social, charitable and volunteer activities. Annually, Modern Woodmen and its members provide more than $26 million and 1 million volunteer hours for community projects nationwide.
