Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary of Mt. Juliet is an all-volunteer run, non-profit that works to find forever home placement for senior dogs where they can live the remainder of their lives as part of a family.
The group also cares for a number of senior dogs who are unadoptable due to various circumstances until they reach the rainbow bridge. The Sanctuary is doing a fundraiser in partnership with Treat Me Right a human-grade, gourmet dog treat business from Jan. 1-15.
Treat Me Right works with animal welfare organizations that provide positive changes for animals and people alike by providing a unique treat designed just for that organization and for every bag sold, $3 (over 25 percent of its proceeds) is donated to help support their cause.
The Sanctuary has selected “Geezers” as their treat and has set a goal to raise $1,000 that will be used to build an outside fenced area that can be used by the dogs during rehabilitation and intake as right now they are limited to only indoor facility options or leash walks.
