MJ students earn scholarships to TTU

Two students from Mt. Juliet were recognized for their academic achievements with scholarships from Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences this spring.
Jeffrey Graves, a math graduate student, received the mathematics graduate student teaching award. He is the son of Brenda and David Graves and a 2003 graduate of Wilson Central High School. After finishing his degree at TTU, he plans to go on for a doctoral degree.
Michele Smith, a junior math major, received the Grateful Heart math scholarship. After graduation, she plans to apply to the National Security Agency’s cryptology program. A 2010 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School, she is the daughter of Ken and Lisa Smith and fiancée of Charley Brown.
