Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto and County Clerk Jim Goodall recently accomplished their goal of providing driver license renewals for the citizens of Wilson County.
You may now renew your Class D license as well as request a duplicate license and make last name changes only. The office can accommodate Tennessee residents more than 18 years of age.
This service will be offered at the 129 South College Street location where business tax, marriage license and notaries are processed; across from the old College Street Church of Christ.
“This is a services our office is proud to provide to the citizens of Wilson County,” Jim Goodall, county clerk said. “We want to make it easier on our citizens to renew while helping elevate the time and wait at the DMV’s office.”
The new service has been a priority of the Mayor and Clerk for the past year. They worked together to create a contract with the State of Tennessee and the Department of Safety and Homeland Security.
There is a $4 per transaction charge allowed by State Legislature to offset cost by the county office for their service.
The Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Thursday 8AM to 4:30PM and Friday 8AM to 5PM. They accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Check or Cash.
