|‘Witness for the Prosecution’ coming to Encore Theatre|
|Tuesday, August 27, 2013|
Witness for the Prosecution by Agatha Christie, Directed by Barbara S. Hartman, will open at Encore Theatre Friday Aug. 30.
Only Agatha Christie could have conceived such a suspenseful thriller and then capped it with an uncanny triple flip ending. A young married man spends many evenings with a rich, old woman.
When she is found murdered, the naïve young man is the chief suspect. The trial takes many turns; when the young man turns his back on his wife and goes off with another woman, we realize he was the murderer. He does not get away with it for there is one turn of the plot remaining.
The show opens Friday, Aug. 30, and runs Aug. 31, Sept. 6, 7, 13, 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Sept. 8, 15 at 2:30 p.m.
