Exchange Club distributes money from Flag Day project

Tuesday, Nov. 13, the Exchange Club of West Wilson County met with the purpose of distributing funds generated from their “Honoring America’s Flag” fundraising project.  The Field of Flags displayed at the corner of East Division and N Mt. Juliet was held during Flag Day, June 14.

The recipients of these funds were: Mt. Juliet Sr. Center Activity Center – represented by Linda McClanhanan; City of Mt. Juliet Fire Dept., represented by Dennis Buchanan; Pregnancy Care Center of Tennessee, represented by Lisa Cathcart; Mt. Juliet Help Center, represented by Bob Carrizzo; Exchange Club Family Center,  represented by Dawn Eaton; MJHS Swim Club, represented by Ivy Campbell; Wilson County Veterans Museum & Park, represented by Bernie Ash.

Presentation of these funds was made by Nancy Britt, President of the West Wilson Exchange Club and other members and guests joined in congratulating all of the recipients.

The Exchange Club of West Wilson County along with the Tyler Cates American Legion Post 281 are in the planning process for the “Honoring America’s Flag” project to be held June 13-15, 2014 within the City of Mt. Juliet.

The Exchange Club, America’s largest service club, is a group of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
