|Restoration Community Outreach opens Donation Center & Food Pantry|
|Tuesday, December 17, 2013|
Restoration Community Outreach has teamed up with United Way and Second Harvest Food Bank to create The Donation Center & Food Pantry.
Due to high unemployment rates and a difficult economy, your help is needed more than ever to provice meals to hundreds of your neighbors in need. The Donation Center & Food Pantry is asking local businesses, churches and civic groups to help sponsor food and toiletry drives to help feed the hungry in the community.
All food, toiletry items and funds raised will help The Donation Center & Food Pantry to supply emergency food and toiletries to those in need. The Food Pantry is working hard to serve the community and help a growing number of families who are food insecure. Food insecure families are so limited in their resources to buy food if they are running out of food, reducing the quality of their food, cutting out meat, feeding their children unbalanced meals, or skipping meals so their children can eat.
Donate non-perishable foods and toiletry items in the marked boxes at the collection points at 14905 Lebanon Road, Building A, Suite G. The Donation Center & Food Pantry is currently in serious need of the following: canned tuna, ham, chicken, turkey or beef, peanut butter and jelly, cereal beans, dried or canned macaroni and cheese, boxed meals, pasta and pasta sauces, rice, fruit juice, soup, fruit and vegetables, canned sugar and flour, coffee, tea and drink mix, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet tissue, soap, deodorant, shaving cream and feminine products.
