Tuesday, August 5, 2014

Yvonne Gregory Hunter, a native of Smith County, graduated from Trousdale High School and went on to obtain a degree in Finance from MTSU.  A local business owner since 1967, for the last 33 years Hunter has specialized in insurance and currently works for Physicians Mutual Insurance Co.  She has been a member and Ambassador for the Lebanon/Wilson Chamber for many years. Hunter was Miss Wilson Co. Sr. Tennessee in 2006 and Miss Tennessee Senior America in 2007. She is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon, where she sings in the choir and teaches 5th grade Sunday school.  She is a member of the Bert Coble Singers and First Baptist Church LOL Choir.

“The State Executive Committeewoman is an important job,” said Hunter. “She has an ex-officio position on all the County Parties in District 17, and is responsible for being the liaison between the State and County Parties. I plan on attending as many county events in my district as possible, so I can take your concerns to the State Party.  Additionally, the State Executive Committee votes for the State Party Chairman or Woman,  adopts rules to promote the success of the Republican Party, establishes policies that guide and direct the county parties and works with the Legislature to promote issues of concern to you either as a committee or as an individual.  I will represent all Counties and Republican groups in a fair and unbiased manner. I am against Common Core and the Federal effort to undermine States Rights. I ask for your vote in the Republican Primary.”
