MJPD installs pharmaceutical drug disposal bin |

West Wilson County residents now have a safe and local place to dispose of expired and unused medication.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department installed Wilson County’s first public pharmaceutical disposal bin that is available in the front lobby of police headquarters. Residents can safely dispose of their unused medication at all hours. The bin was supplied by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation – Office of Sustainable Practices. Last week was the first week the drop bin was available for public use, and 47 pounds of waste has already been collected.

Endangered Child Alert issued, teen found safe |

On Thursday, Sept. 13 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Mt. Juliet Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Endangered Child Alert for 13 year-old Hailey Privette of Mt. Juliet.
