The 2nd Annual Christmas 4 Kids Celebrity Golf Tournament is Tuesday, April 23 at Pine Creek Golf Course in Mt. Juliet.

The best Nashville has to offer – Music, Sports, and Philanthropy – will join forces at this special fundraising event presented by Prevost, The Ultimate Class bus company and one of C4K’s biggest supporters, and hosted by The Roys, 2011 & 2012 ICM Bluegrass Group of the Year – all to benefit Christmas 4 Kids.

Some of the celebrities already scheduled to play are:  Tracy Lawrence, Bo Bice, David Ball, Eric Heatherly, Del Gray of Little Texas, Doyle Lawson, Mickie James, Mark Cooke, Ty Brown, Lucas Hoge, Fox 17’s Kelly Sutton & Nick Paranjape, Nascar’s T. J. Bell, and Brad Hopkins and Joe Dubin from 102.5 The Game.  Golfers are added all the way up to the event, so check www.christmas4kids.org for an updated list.

Here are the details:

10 a.m.: Registration

11 a.m.: Lunch

Noon: Shotgun – 3-player Scramble with a Celebrity added as your 4th team member.

After Golf: Dinner and Prizes

Entry Fees:  $125 per person which includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, dinner, and drinks.

Among the fun things that will be happening:

Big Star Cigar will be handing out free cigars

Hole-in-One Prize – a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, valued at $40,000 from Bob Frensley

$25,000 Cash Hole-in-One Prize sponsored by Southern Community Bank

Closest-to-the-Pin Prize - free Zoom teeth whitening provided by Dr. Mike Tabor

Putting Contest Prize  - a custom putter from Xenon Golf

And gift cards, too numerous to mention, for all golfers.

Christmas 4 Kids says they are so grateful for all the support they receive from so many local businesses who have donated prizes and gift cards, making this one of the best tournaments in Nashville for golfers.  Tony Benken, owner of Big Star Cigar Lounge noted his support, “At Big Star Cigar, we have made a commitment to local businesses and local charities, and the Christmas 4 Kids Golf Tournament is the perfect partner for our vision.  We are honored to be a sponsor for this worthy event and charity!”

There’s still time to participate as a golfer or a sponsor.  You can register at www.christmas4kids.org or call Corey Duke at (615)453-9115.

In the end, it’s all about the kids.  So many children from schools all around Sumner and Wilson counties are benefited from Christmas 4 Kids’ annual celebration and shopping spree.   Becky Siever, Principal of West Elementary states what C4K has done for their school, “Christmas 4 Kids has been a blessing for our school. The look on our students’ faces as the bus drove in our parking lot to take them on a shopping trip and dinner was priceless! We are truly grateful for this organization.  The memories cultivated will be life-long!”

Christmas 4 Kids (a division of Christmas For Kids, Inc.), a not-for-profit organization that has been in existence for over 27 years providing many children each year, with their very own Christmas shopping spree. The funds generated by this golf tournament, the annual Charlie Daniels & Friends Concert in November, and the Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet event in December are used to give more than 400 children from 30 different schools in Sumner and Wilson counties a day-long shopping excursion, and hopefully, a Christmas they’ll remember for years to come.
