Things are picking up in the economy, and Mt. Juliet keeps pulling in new businesses.

Several have recently opened like Firehouse Subs and Jet’s Pizza, but many are coming along soon.

Mirko Pasta, Bar-B-Cutie and Martin’s Barbecue should be opening shortly.

Several others are on the horizon.

Kirkland’s will be opening near Two Rivers Ford with a new plaza that still has some hurdles to go through before being built.

A new Goodwill has been approved in planning and will be coming on Providence Parkway behind where the Walgreens is now.

Pier 1 Imports has broke ground in that same area, and will be located next to Regions Bank.

Ascend Federal Credit Union and White Castle will be coming to Paddocks as well.

Several places are most likely coming, but are not official. Chuck E. Cheese and Sephora are among the businesses that are possibly looking to open in Mt. Juliet. Sephora is currently located in J.C. Penney’s.

The Dollar General on Lebanon Road that was heavily damaged during the tornado will not be returning. City Manager Kenny Martin says he is trying to recruit a restaurant to come to that location. Mark’s Automotive, which was located on the backside of that building, will be relocated.

There is still no indication that Costco, Sam’s Club or Whole Foods will be coming to Mt. Juliet in the near future.
