The Mt. Juliet Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 to allow any Wilson County school teacher a discount on handgun safety courses instructed by the Mt. Juliet Police Department.

Woman tries to hire hitman to kill ex-husband

On Jan. 9, detectives with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office received information that a Mt. Juliet woman was trying to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband.  

Upon opening the investigation into the information detectives found the female to be Bryam Megan Ewers, 42, of Mt. Juliet.

Fires destroy two homes Tuesday

Fires on Cardiff Lane and Whitnell Dr. Monday night into Tuesday morning destroyed two houses.

The home on Cardiff Lane in the Chandler Pointe subdivision (pictured above) caught fire around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
