4 days sell at MJ Animal Shelter, adoptions for only $25

After July 4, for four days only, any dog or cat can be adopted for $25 at the Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter.  

That’s all you pay. 

The Benefit Fund will pay the rest. 

All dogs and cats will have had all their shots and been spayed or neutered. 

Appropriate applications must be filled out. 

Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter is located at 115 Industrial Drive in Mt. Juliet. 

They are open six days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  

They are closed Wednesdays to the public.

Road closures for fireworks

The Mt. Juliet Police Department has announced the traffic plan for the City of Mt. Juliet Fourth of July Fireworks in the Providence Market Place area. The firework presentation, put on by Needham’s Nursery will begin at 9 p.m. Mt. Juliet Police are expecting a large amount of exiting traffic out of the Providence Market Place area after the fireworks at approximately 10 p.m. With safety being a top priority, a traffic plan has been established and police officers will be controlling some intersections.

MJCA student sets records

Andrew Kittrell, age 12, was at the University of Central Oklahoma to compete in the Endeavor Games on June 7-10.  The Endeavor Games is a nationally recognized competition endorsed or sanctioned by U.S. Paralympics, National Disability Sports Alliance, Disabled Sports USA, United States Association of Blind Athletes, USA Track and Field, and Wheelchair Sports USA.  It allows all athletes with physical disabilities to participate in a multi-sport event.
