Crye-Leike raises money for charity

An auction was recently held at the Crye-Leike, REALTORS Mt. Juliet sales office, but the agents were not selling property. 

Instead of making competitive offers on a home, bidders were hoping to place the winning bid on one of the many delicious desserts up for auction.

It’s hard to fit everything important that happened in Mt. Juliet in 2012 in one story, but we are going to do our best. Following is the big stories, month by month, that happened in 2012. 


Cumberland University came east, as they announced, along with UMC, they would be building a complex in Providence called Providence West Medical Center. Along with Cumberland University and UMC, Snodgrass-King Dental and Tennessee Sports Medicine put offices in the complex which is already  open. 

1 killed in I-40 wreck

One person was killed and four others were transported to a hospital after a wreck on I-40 Friday. 

The wreck happened a little after 8 p.m. near the Beckwith Road exit at mile marker 228. 

Community helps make Big Brothers of MJ toy and food drive a big success

Big Brothers is sending out a big thanks to the community which helped make the Christmas 2012 Food and Toy distribution to needy families a success. 

Over 300 families received food boxes, and 600 children received toys from Santa. 

Treat Me Right partnering with Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary

Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary of Mt. Juliet is an all-volunteer run, non-profit that works to find forever home placement for senior dogs where they can live the remainder of their lives as part of a family.  

The group also cares for a number of senior dogs who are unadoptable due to various circumstances until they reach the rainbow bridge.
