Hagar, Anna Marie Paluga, 89, Hermitage, died Sept, 27. Mrs. Hagar was a member of New Hope Church. She was the daughter of the late, George and Martha Marie Milan Paluga. Mrs. Hagar was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Curtis Hagar and her brother, George Paluga. 

She is survived by sons Steve (Julia) Hagar, Roy (Elaine) Hagar and William L. “Bill” Hagar, daughters, Barbara (Eddie) Putty and Betty Tyson, brothers Joseph (Cathy) Paluga and John Paluga, sisters Eleanor (Dan) Fransworth, Florence Duda and Louise (John) Bryant, grandchildren – Elizabeth (Mark) Noel, Samatha Hagar Doak, Tiffany Hagar, Stephanie (Drew) Laws, Patty (George) Currey, Joey Tyson, Amy (Dale) Waters and Rick (Sheila) Putty

Funeral services will be conducted noon Thursday, Oct, 1,  at Bond Memorial Chapel with Paul Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Binkley-Hagar-Steele Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.

Lola Elam, 76, Lebanon, passed away Sept, 27. 

She is preceded in death by parents, Hobert and Evie       Carter; and 21 brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by daughter, Tracey Boles; grandchildren, Michael Martin “Punkin” and Justin Elam; nephew, James (Connie) Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept, 30 at 1 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Rachel Lynn Bambas (Brown), 25, passed away after a long illness in Mt. Juliet, on Sept, 26. 

Rachel was born in Lebanon, on June 12, 1990 and spent most of her life in Lebanon and Mt. Juliet. 

Rachel was an active member of the German Club and Debate Team while attending Mt. Juliet High School. She was also a member of the Marine Corps JROTC program for three years and a member of the girls’ rifle drill team. Rachel competed with the Drill Team in the National Competition at Daytona Beach her Senior year and received the Scottish Rite Award for her loyalty and duty to the JROTC program.

After graduation, Rachel was offered scholarships to Clemson, Texas A&M, and Auburn Universities. Ultimately, she chose a scholarship at Idaho State University to study Nuclear Engineering. While there, Rachel became an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After marrying her sweetheart in the Nashville Temple of the LDS Church, she transferred to Brigham Young University. At the time of Rachel’s passing, she had continued to work towards her Bachelor’s degree through online studies. 

Rachel is survived by her husband, Alexander Bambas, son of K.J and Karen Bambas of Lebanon. Alex is currently serving in the United States Army in Fort Bragg, NC.  Rachel is also survived by her parents, Anthony (Tony) Brown and Nancy L. Brown (McCrary) of Mt. Juliet. She also has a beloved older brother, Brett Brown of Hermitage. 

Rachel is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, the late Kay and James McCrary of Lebanon. She is survived by her paternal grandmother, Betty Bowers of Fulton, KY. In addition, she leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Erika (Clayton) Cravath, Taylor (Derek) Rosecrans, Heather Bambas, Faith Bambas and two nieces and a nephew whom she cherished. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends all over the country.

Condolences may be sent to the family via Sellars Funeral Home (2229 N Mt Juliet Rd, Mt Juliet, TN 37122) where the visitation will be Wednesday, Sept 30 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1004 Woodridge Place, Mt. Juliet.  Interment to follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Byron Young, 28, Mt. Juliet, died Sept, 14. 

Byron was a member of the Lutheran faith. He was baptized in 1987, took his first communion in 1997 and was confirmed in 2001. Byron was a 2005 graduate of Wilson Central High School and attended MTSU. He was a huge Titans fan. 

Bryon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Wayne Young; uncle, Dennis Strode; special “unkie”, Edward Bartel; cousin, Ava Jordan; step-grandmother, Vivian “Gingy” Carter and childhood friend, Justin Kirchner.  

He is survived by: mother, Diane Young (Henry) Carter, father: Jeffrey Allen Young, maternal grandparents: Doug and Grace Strod, paternal grandparents: Virginia Grant and Sue Young, fiancé: Brittney “Baby” Byrd, brothers: Benson Reid (April) Young, Nicklaus Wayne Young and Christopher Henry (Chelsea) Carter, niece and nephew: Madison and Mason Young, aunts and uncles – Denise (Steve) Hartsell, Doug (Vickie) Strode, Jr., Desi (Diane) Strode, Toni Young, Scott (Natalie) Young, Edward (Reba) Carter, Carla Flessner, Debbie Cox and Mary (Ted) Sandwell,

Louise Worley,  87, Lebanon, passed away Sept. 16.  

The Funeral Service, conducted by Bishop Roger Hall, was Friday, Sept, 18.  followed by interment in Nashville National Cemetery.  Pallbearers were David Carver, Mike Long, Carl Barrett, Hunter Barrett, Charles Arbogast, and Charlie Arbogast.

Worley is preceded in death by husband Howard Worley, parents Melverna and Sylvester Rasey, sons John Daniel, Robert Worley, daughter Verna J. Pratt, granddaughter Kelly D. Baynes, and great-grandson Connor J. Hoffman.  She is survived by daughter Bonnie Baynes of Lebanon, son Richard D.
