HALL, Brian Daniel
Brian Daniel Hall, age 54 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away August 31, 2010. Brian was an avid fan of music and a talented drummer. He spent many years playing music in a band with his brothers and making music with his relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by father, Daniel Gene Hall; and brother, Marty Hall. Brian is survived by parents, Don and Anita Brauneker; brothers, Doug (Ana) Hall, Kevin (Terry) Hall, R. J. (Debbie) Brauneker, and Bradley Brauneker; sisters, Lori Hall and Rayetta Seward; son, Brian Martin (Jennifer) Hall; grandparents, Fred and Pauline Mendoza; granddaughter, Emily Rose Hall; several nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial service will be Friday, September 3 at 2 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. Buddy Royston officiating. Harry Morgan “Hank” Evans, Jr., age 61, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Thursday, August 26, 2010. Mr. Evans was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was the son of the late, Harry Morgan Evans, Sr. and Elizabeth Maranda Evans. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Joan Evans. He is survived by: eife – Joan Rose “Jody” Evans; faughters – Christina Beth “Christy” Evans (Matt) Roe, Kimberly Virginia “Kimi” Evans and Katie Alston Jensen; Unborn grandchild expected to be born in March 2011. James Richard “Jim” Harris, Jr., age 71, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Mr. Harris was the son of the late, James R. Harris, Sr. and Anna Louise Templeton Harris. He is survived by: wife – Barbara Ann Harris; sons – Richard Harris, David Timothy (Joyce) Harris and David Anthony (Christina) Harris; daughters – Deborah Sullavin and Nichole Harris Dixon; grandchildren – Zach Sullavin, Ashley Harris, Lorrey Harris, Rebecca Mueller and Catie Mueller; brothers – Bill Harris and Jerry Wayne Harris; sisters – Dot Cole and Kat Wade; sister-in-law – Roberta (John) Kidd; aunt – Corine; nieces and nephews – Jennifer Kidd, John Kidd and Alicia Capshaw. Kelvin Martin, age 56 of Mt. Juliet passed away on August 22, 2010. Mr. Martin was a talented musician and traveled with the Gospel Three. He was preceded in death by brother, Charles Ray Martin and sister, Carol Lynn Webb. Mr. Martin is survived by wife, Paulette Martin; parents, Charles & Pearl Martin; daughters, Angela (James) Thomas and Tracey Reynolds; brother, Jerry (Susan) Martin; sister, Charlene (Doug) Elliott; granddaughters, Kassie Strain, Cierra White, Jessica Reynolds, Taylor Reynolds and Madison Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews. William C. “Bill” Phillips, age 72 of Mt. Juliet, passed away August 23, 2010. Bill was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and had recorded over 200 sound songs including “Put it Off Until Tomorrow” and “Little Boy Sad.” He was a member of the Green Hill Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Charlotte Phillips, and a son, Chip Phillips. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ann Phillips; sons, Rayme Phillips (Wendy), Mickey Denny; daughter, Paulette Burnell (Don) and six grandchildren. Frank Restina, age 52 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away August 26, 2010. Mr. Restina was born July 15, 1958 in Schenectady, NY. He graduated from Niskayuna High School in 1976 and attended Graham College in Boston, MA. He was a member and usher at Joy Church in Mt. Juliet. Mr. Restina is survived by wife, Sara Restina; parents, Frank & Delores Restina of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Karis, and Kaycee; son, Scott of Naples, FL; brother, Paul Restina of Glen Allen, VA; and granddaughter, Kenzlee. Memorial service will be Saturday, September 4, at 11 a.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Pastor Dave Goldner officiating. WELCH, Shirley Ruth
Shirley Ruth Welch, age 72 of Old Hickory, passed away on August 25, 2010, from injuries sustained in a fall in her home in April. A graduate of Dupont High School and Middle Tennessee State University, Shirley began a 50-year career in the music publishing business with Hubert Long Enterprises in Nashville and had just retired this past February after more than 40 years with Ray Stevens Music/Ahab Music in Nashville. She was a lifelong member of the Old Hickory Country Club. Preceded in death by her parents, Clarice B. “Peck” Welch and Virginia Fox Welch, of Old Hickory; her maternal aunts and uncles, Ruth Fox McMahon, Horace Lee McMahon, Francis Fox Adams and Mike Adams, all of Cornersville; her paternal aunt and uncle, Dewey Welch and Vera Welch, of Columbia, and her sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Hyde and Betty Haralson Welch, both originally of Old Hickory. She is survived by her brothers, Allan F. Welch and Thomas H. Welch, both of Old Hickory; six nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins and many friends and neighbors. Shirley will be remembered for her generosity, her sharp wit and her fierce loyalty to friends and family. The Welch family would like to extend sincere appreciation to the caring staff at Skyline Medical Center, Vanco Manor, and Mt. Juliet Health Care Center, and Shirley’s many friends and classmates who wrote and visited her these past few months. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 28, at Hermitage Funeral Home. Following the service Shirley was laid to rest beside her parents at Beechwood Cemetery in Cornersville.
