ANDERSON, Vivian O. Mitchell

Vivian O. Mitchell Anderson, of Mt. Juliet, TN, went to join her Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2010. She was born at home near Ripley, MS on October 4, 1926 to Ira and Elora Labearre Mitchell who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Mitchell and her sister, Lynette Johnson. In her earlier years in Mississippi, Vivian played piano for Concord Baptist Church and taught high school business courses. After moving to Tennessee, she was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet were she served as a VBS teacher, Sunday School teacher and in various other callings over the years. Vivian retired from teaching after 36 years. She taught mainly in the Wilson County School System at Mt. Juliet, West and Southside Schools. She served on the PTO in Mt. Juliet and Lebanon, the Wilson County Magistrate for one term and the Codes Committee for the City of Mt. Juliet. During these busy years she still found time to be an excellent seamstress for her family. Vivian will be missed greatly, but she is being trusted into the hands of God. Vivian is survived by husband, Corbett William Anderson. They fulfilled their vows to each other and God by being married for 65 years. She is also survived by: children, Lawrence (Linda) Anderson, Randy (Kim) Anderson and Regina (Danny) Baker; brother William Ira Mitchell; sister Valca Cook; grandchildren, Brook (Aaron) Leasure, Chris (Natalie) Anderson, Rachel (Cortez) Mack, Beth (Clay) Hullett and Michaela Anderson; six great-grandchildren and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews in the Mt. Juliet and Ripley, MS area. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Carver and Chaplain Paul Gunn officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Dan Mitchell, Cortez Mack, Clay Hullett, Chris Anderson, Darrell Crawford, Duane Garrett and Wayne Garrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Lyda, Maxine Bell and members of the Wilson County Retired Teachers Association. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. FRANCIS, John

          John Francis, age 69 of Mt. Juliet, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Louise Francis; daughter, Billie Dale Walker; grandchildren, Alex and Melanie Louise Contreras; sister, Madalyn (Lyn) Richardson. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Cameron officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. BOREN, Rev. Tillman Ray

 

Rev. Tillman Ray Boren was born on March 21, 1949, in Chattanooga, TN. He was a member of the Church of God in Cleveland, TN and was involved in pastoral work from 1974-2006. Mr. Boren was married to Mary Ann Kitchens on October 31, 1966 in High Point, GA. He passed from this life at his residence on February 8, 2009. Mr. Boren is survived by his wife of 43 years Mary Ann Boren. two daughters, Angela Lewis and husband Neal, Wendy Smith and husband Don; a daughter-in-law, DeAnne Boren; 6 Grandchildren, Amanda Boren, Derek and Cory Young, Tyler Lewis, Lauren and Ethan Smith; his father, Alton Boren; a sister, Wanda Boren Carroll Sparks of Chickamauga, GA; a niece, two nephews; two special couples, Al and Deborah Jernigan of Finely, TN and Pat and Inna Gibson of Seymour, TN; he was a God parent to Heather Goodall of Lafayette, TN and many special friends. Preceded in death by is his mother, Gladys Boren and a son, Tillman Alton Boren. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Junction Church of God in Finley, TN with a celebration to follow. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, from 1:00 -3:00 PM at the Mount Juliet Church of God in Mount Juliet, TN.
