Robert “Bobby” Lee Cummings, 66, Mt Juliet, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 8.
Cummings was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Don and Iva F. Cummings.
He is survived by sisters Barbara Cummings, Debbie (Mike) Foust and brother Donny (Cheryl) Cummings along with many nephews, nieces and extended family.
Cummings was born in Hastings, Nebraska August 11, 1945. After his graduation he joined the Military where he served as Military Police and then in the Army National Guard as a Sgt in the 401st MP POW Camp. He was also a founding member of the Nashville Songwriters Association. He had made lifelong friends in the Music Industry. As a songwriter The Lord opened many doors for Bobby. Along with his love for music and song writing, he was an Antiquarian and had his own antique shop. Bobby had a special talent of finding rare antiques, which was a true passion of his. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers are Ray Armstrong, Dave Gibson, David Gibson Jr., Kevin Grant, Mike Rivers, Chris Zamora, Joe Smith, Joshua Foust. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Ricks, Mike Foust, Travis Foust, Bryan Reese. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13th at 2 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet with Chaplain Paul Gunn officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with family and friends was Tuesday June 12 p.m. and from noon to 2 p.m. on the day of services.
