Jerry Dean Smith, 75, passed away peacefully on Jan. 19.Jerry was born Oct. 7, 1937 in Kingfisher, Okla., graduated from Rattan High School in Rattan Okla. in 1955. Jerry spent 23 years in Anchorage, Ak. where he retired from Ak. Distibutors in 1999 then moved to Mt.Juliet where he was a faithful and dedicated member of Green Hill Church. He also volunteered his services for friends,the homeless and anyone who needed help. He was always generous and kind hearted to everyone he met (one of a kind). His hobbies and interest were mainly family, repairing anything (Mr. Fix It), fishing, snowmachining, gospel music and spending summers in Alaska. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Opal Smith of Stroud Okla. and son Phillip H Hardin of Wasilla, Alaska. Surviving to cherish his memories are: his beloved wife Peggy Smith; sons Terry Smith of Antioch, Larry Smith and wife Debbie of Lebanon; Daughters Quita Stephens and husband Eric of Thompson Station. and Sherry Buchanan and Husband Doug of Brush Creek; two brothers Gilbert Smith of Wagoner Okla. and Don Smith of Oklahoma and Sister Carolyn Beller and husband Larry of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Blake, Brian, Erica, Whitney, Kaytlin, Phillip Dale, Peggy Sue, Jake, Josh and 11 great grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Green Hill Church 13251 Lebanon Rd., Mt. Juliet Tn on Thursday Jan. 24. Visitation at 5 p.m. and memorial services following at 6 p.m.
