George Elmer Druyor, 83, Mt. Juliet, born on Oct. 4, 1929 and died Thursday, July 11.
He was the son of the late, Keith Druyor and Marie Christiansen. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Neal, Robert, and Glen Druyor; and sisters Mae Petersen, Jean Brown, and Mary Lou Ambrozy. George was known and loved for his love of nature, sense of humor, and profound reverence for God and country. This tough, old brick layer could write poetry that would make you laugh out loud, and then tug on your heart strings. What looked like someone’s old junk, would be transformed by dad into work of his own unique art.
He is survived by: wife, Eleanor Druyor; son, Cameron (Peggy) Druyor of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Laurie (Kent) Krynock of Fremont, OH; sister, Jessie Jarvella; grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Caitlin, Cameron Jr. and Jonathan; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews
