Jerry Wayne King, 68, Old Hickory, died Sunday, Oct. 27.
King was retired from Overnite Transportation after 32 years of service. He was the son of the late, Perry and Bessie Hesson King. Mr. King was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby King and sisters, Imogene Adams and Lorine Givens.
He is survived by: companion, Kathy King; daughters, Paula (Earle) Pierce, Tina (Aaron) Moss and Rachel King; brother, Billy King; sister, Peggy Crowder; grandchildren, Joshua Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Ashley Moss, Halle Moss and Cameron Dewayne Davenport; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Aaron Moss, Cory Davenport, Wayne Murphy, Robert Franklin, Mike McCoy and Paul Gasser.
