Martha Kathleen Eakin, 68, Gallatin, died July 7. 

Kathy was retired from Centennial Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late, Edward M. and Betty Jo Lee Reed.

She is survived by: husband, James Eakin; children, Missy Griggs, Tammy Jo Stout, Jeffrey Lee Stout, Elaine Karamustafic, Brandy Milliken, Tanya (Tony) Toney, Shona Brunotts and Tiwasha Story; brothers, Mark Walker and Johnny Reed; grandchildren, Brandi Lee Griggs, Kristopher Eakin, Kelsie Norris, Katie Toney, Alexus Stout, Hailey Summers, Emilie Summers, Caydence Stout, Jospeh Spurlock and Aisha Karamustafic; great-grandchildren, Aiden Ramos, Noah Ramos, Zulema Elvira and Andrew Martin

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Diane Marie Hamilton, 56, Mt. Juliet, died July 14. 

Diane was a member of Celebration Lutheran Church. She was a dental hygienist and a certified massage therapist. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Joe P. Hamilton, Jr.

She is survived by: mother, Judy Hamilton; brothers, John F. (Lisa) Hamilton, Sr. and Joe P. (Maggie Rose) Hamilton, III; sister, Sandra A. (Tony) Van Atta; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Kevin Martin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Celebration Lutheran Church, 3425 N. Mt. Juliet Rd., Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.

Ruby Dean Hodges Westmoreland, 64, Mt. Juliet, died July 11. 

Hodges was the daughter of the late, John Fowler Westmoreland and Millie Flo Reddia Spivey Westmoreland. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Wayne Hodges and six siblings.

She is survived by: daughter, Kim (Jon) Santee; sisters, Lillian Pugh, Lola Graves and Cenda Fisher; grandchildren, Shelby Santee, Gabriel Santee, Christian Santee and Amelia Santee

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 15 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Johnnie Brewer officiating. Interment followed at Crestview Memory Gardens in Gallatin. Active pallbearers will be Jon Santee, James Richard Westmoreland, Doug Hodges, Jason Bradley, Johnnie C. Brewer and Steven Beck. Honorary pallbearers will be John Fisher, Danny Fisher and Jeff Brewer.

George Robert Fleming, 87, Donelson, died July 5. 

Fleming was employed by IBEW Local No. 429 for over 20 years. He was a past member of Cumberland Lodge No. 8 F&AM, the York Rite and Al Menah Shrine Temple. Fleming was the son of the late, Jasper and Allie Fleming. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Fleming and his son, George “Randy” Fleming.

He is survived by: daughter, Nancy Mathis; daughter-in-law, Laurie Fleming; grandchildren, Denise (Greg) Nash, Melissa Walker, Greg (Jenny) Mathis, Wayne (Katherine) Mathis, Heather (Tim) Cook and Christopher Fleming; great-grandchildren, Jim Waters, Jessica Waters, Jordan Waters, Michael Walker, Sarah Mathis, Elliot Mathis, Jovie Mathis and Autumn Cook; special friend, Marcelle Talley; good friend, Joe Hicks.

Graveside services with military honors will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Groover officiating. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

William Hagar Hicks, Jr., 74, Mt. Juliet, died July 3. 

Hicks completed a five year apprenticeship program for the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committees for the Electrical Industries. He was retired from DuPont after 35 years of service. Hicks was a farmer in Gladeville and raised beef cattle. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his family. Hicks was preceded in death by his father, William Hagar Hicks, Sr. and his daughter, Sissy Hicks. 

He is survived by: wife of 31 years, Reba Hall Hicks; mother, Alton Mary Hicks; daughters, Becky Stewart and Mary Jane Hicks; sons, Randy Phelps, Jr. and Brett Phelps; grandchildren, Graham (Ginger) Stewart, Shelley Stewart, Stephanie Borden, Abby Phelps, Kassie Williams                        and Zoe’ Williams

Funeral services were Saturday, July 5 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
