Louis Biagio Panicci, 53, Old Hickory passed away April 17. 

Panicci is preceded in death by his wife Julia Bianco Panicci. 

He is survived by: parents Luigi and Pat; sisters, Donna and Kim; brother-in-law, David; niece, Angels; nephew, Brandon, Billy, Jesse and Zach.

John Lanier Young, 76, Castalian Springs, died April 29. 

Young was a member of First Baptist Church of Gallatin. He attended Mississippi College, Vanderbilt University and Seminary in Kentucky. Young had served a Band Director at Dupont High School and as Principal at Neely Bend School and Gra-Mar Elementary School. He had also served as Minister of Music at Inglewood Methodist Church for 15 years and at Old Hickory Presbyterian Church. Young loved sailing and participated and won awards in the 1969 Tennessean Regatta. He was the son of the late, William Pryor and Ethel Mae Duran Young. Young was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amanda Fudge.

He is survived by: wife, Gail Hollon Young; children, John (Nevada) Young, II of Murfreesboro, Jennifer (John) Ly of San Antonio, Texas, Jeanette (Rick) Young of Philadelphia, Penn.; step-children, Charles (Rhonda) Hagar, Jr. of Mt. Juliet, Terrie (Boyd) Fudge of Mt. Juliet, Sherrie (Byron) Hicks of Nashville,  K. Lynn (Danny) Russell of Hartsville; siblings, Dr. W.D. (Teresa) Young of Waynesboro, Miss., Delcie (George) Opalak of Greenville, SC;13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren (with another one due in August 2015); cousin, Sam Young of Goodlettsville. 

Funeral services were Saturday, May 2, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Dr. Larry Yarborough, Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Randolph, David Randolph, Riley White, Kenny Russell, Clint Friar and Murray Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were the Choir and the Good Shepherd Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Gallatin.

Christopher Erik Click, 45, Old Hickory, died April 20. 

Erik was born June 13, 1969. He was a Desert Storm veteran, master carpenter, and talented artist. Deeply feeling and fun loving, Erik’s smile illuminated every space he entered and his artisan skills make every piece of furniture, large or small, and every home built a work of craftsmanship and of lasting beauty. As a teacher of all things to everyone he met, Erik’s wisdom, wit, and talents live on within us all. 

Erik was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart and “baebee” Kyra; dedicated and exceedingly proud father to Marina and Jude; a passionately loving son to Daphne and Kurt; a caring and protective brother to siblings Jenny and Adam.

Erik’s family welcomed family and friends for fellowship Monday, April 27,  at Bond Memorial Chapel. Military honors will be rendered at 4:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, in honor of Erik’s grandmother, Maxine Rorex, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.

Ira Ellithorpe, 81, Mt. Juliet, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family April 20. 

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Richard and Catherine Ellithorpe; brother, George; sister, Carolyn Hatcher. 

He is survived by: his wife, Grace; son, Randy (Crystal); daughter, Sandra McKee (Lee); brothers, Norris (Jean), Herbert (Atha) and Paul (Pat); sister, Elizabeth Maynard; grandsons, Matthew (Jen), Ryan (Abby), and Jesse McKee; granddaughter, Emma Harn; three great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews, family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life Service was Saturday, April 25 at the Eastwood Christian Church, 1601 Eastland Ave., Nashville, TN with Rev. Jay Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Debra Kay Gordon, 56, Mt. Juliet, died April 25. 

Debra was retired from F&A with the State of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Winter and her son, Christopher Michael Lancaster.

She is survived by: husband of 27 years, Randy Gordon; mother, Margaret Winter; daughter, Christie Michelle Lancaster; brothers, John Winter and Franklin Parrish; grandchildren, Jonathon Ratzlaff and Tomas Lankford; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Donna Gordon.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
