Rosa Locke, 82, Lebanon, died April 15 of cancer. 

Locke was a member of the Mt. Juliet/West Wilson Lions Club where she had served as Secretary and the Business and Professional Women’s Club where she had served as Secretary and as President from 1981-1982. She was also a member of Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet and the Wilson County Grand Squares. Mrs. Locke was the daughter of the late, Leonard Ralph and Eunice Olivia Mickle Rowland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Locke and her daughter, Yvonne Locke.

She is survived by: daughters, Rachael L. (Ed) Reagan and Lacy L. Felts; son, Carl Leonard Locke; sister, Jeannie Wentworth; grandchildren, Chris King, Vanessa Brown, Dusty Locke, Maureen Reagan, Elise Felts, Joel Felts, Dalton Locke and Kneelan Smith-Locke; great-grandchildren, Kimber Brown, Graceyn Brown, Taylor Meadows, Kavionna Felts and Brailyn Brown.

Funeral services were Sunday, April 19, at Bond Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet.

Jeremy Dee Shell,  32, Mt. Juliet, passed away Friday, April 17. 

Funeral services were Tuesday, April 21 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Jason Shell, Ty Carver, Shane Scott, Aaron Scott, Dustin Oakley, Danny Scott, Donald Coleman, and Tim Stumbaugh serving as pallbearers with James Wood serving as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation with the family was Monday, April 20 from and continue Tuesday, April 21 until time of service. 

Jeremy enjoyed being out on the lake and riding motorcycles with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Coleman. Surviving family include his children, Emma Grace Shell, William Dee Shell; father, Danny (Marsha) Shell, step-father, Donald Coleman; siblings, Jason (Nikki) Shell, Amanda Coleman; niece and nephew, Ely Lopez, Marshall Shell; grandparents, Ruby Bishop, Dee Simpkins, and Joyce Coleman.

Philip Wilson Bennett, 62, Mt. Juliet died April 11, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  

Born June 3, 1952, he was the only son of Frank Wilson Bennett and Dorothy Holladay Bennett.  He was a 1970 graduate of Lebanon High School.  He retired from Performance Food Group and attended Joy Church International in Mt. Juliet.  

He is survived by: his wife of forty years, Diane Bates Bennett; son, Zachary (Audrey) Bennett; three aunts:  Maurine Henley, Hazel Gann, Elizabeth (Bill) Ragsdale.

Funeral services were Tuesday, April 14 from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Billie Friel and Pastor Rob Simms officiating.  Interment was in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers were  Larry Joyner, Randy Randall, Charles Thurman, Darris Crawford, Bob Croy, Ken Pritchett.  Visitation was and Tuesday.

James Harold Bess, 68, Hermitage, died April 9. 

Bess was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He was previously employed by Northern Telecom/AT&T and as a postman in Lebanon. Bess loved fishing and golf. He was the son of the late, Jimmy and Gladys Whitaker Bess. Bess was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Bess.

He is survived by: wife of 42 years, Sherry Wolf Bess; daughters, Jennifer Bess and Megan Bess and her fiancé, Matthew Street; brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Bess and Larry (Patty) Bess; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, April 13 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Cherrico officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Camelia Rose Cummings, 81, Lebanon passed away April 9. Funeral service were Saturday, April 11 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Pastor Bruce Grubbs officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 10 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 11th from 9 a.m. until service. 

She is preceded in death by: husband, Martin Cummings; parents, Paul and Pearl Partlow; son, Keith Cummings; daughter, Jeanna Powell.

Survivors include: children, Paula Lannom, Rachel Gunnels, Barry Cummings; grandchildren, Kim Ricketts, Erica Pearson, Shane Lannom, Lance Lannom, Kaela Cummings, Taylor Gunnels, and Madie Gunnels; great-grandchildren, Gage Ricketts, Callie Rose Pearson, Buck Pearson, Gracie Pearson, Scotty Lannom, Tristen Van Dette, Morgan Pearl Lannom, and Presley Lannom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the office of Sellars Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
