Ollie Belle Hipps Vaughan, 95, Brentwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children Monday, Jan. 13 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin. 

Vaughan was born in Greene County on June 25, 1918 to the late, Grover Steven and Emmaline Coates Hipps. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James Ivan Vaughan, Sr. and her siblings, Raymond Hipps, twin sister May Belle Hipps McCarty, Harley Hipps, Clyde Hipps, Robert Hipps, Dwight Hipps, Bryant Hipps, Mark Hipps, Luke Hipps and Paul Hipps. 

She is survived by: children, Jane Vaughan Leake of Birmingham, Ala., Gwendolyn Vaughan(Howard) Shaw of Mt. Juliet, and James I. Vaughan, Jr. of Nashville; grandchildren, Ward Shaw, Jim (Carrie) Vaughan and Catherine Shaw (Adam) Mangrum; great-grandchildren, Connor and Tyler Shaw, Jimmy, Lexi, Elijah, Levi and Miriam Vaughan and Mary Brent Mangrum; sister, Hannah Ruth Hipps Arrington; sisters-in-law, Lois Hipps, Velva Hipps, Millie Hipps and Joyce Hipps and many cherished nieces and nephews

Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 16, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jacob Armstrong officiating. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Cynthia Lynn Hoffman Custer passed away Dec. 23.
Cynthia graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1979.
She is survived by one daughter, Miranda Jackson; mother, Mary Goodman; sister, Cheryl Hoffman; granddaughters, Noel Jackson and Courtney Jackson; son in law, Chris Jackson; and niece, Luana Nicole McGowan, and a host of aunts and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet at 2 p.m. Jan. 25 with Pastor David Fallin officiating.

James H. Robinson,  73, Mt. Juliet passed away peacefully surrounded by family Jan. 11.
He is preceded in death by parents, Haggard and Kathleen Boyd Robinson.
He is survived by: his beloved wife of 52 years, Thelma McCord Robinson; children, Pam (Bob) Bolen, Jeff (Brenda) Robinson and Jennifer (Jimmy) Davis; brothers, Joe (Mary Ann) Robinson and Ricky (Sharon) Robinson; grandchildren, Randi (Willie), Chad (Kerri), Marissa, Zachary, Brandon, Blaine and Nicholas; great-grandchild, Bentley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Ralph Buddy Neal officiating. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, Jan. 16 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 17 from noon-2 p.m.

Horace John Wing, 86, Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Jan. 10. 
Wing was a member of Hermitage United Methodist Church and a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was the son of the late, Clinton Benjamin and Florence Ruth Williamson Wing. Mr. Wing was also preceded in death by his brother, Clinton Wing, Jr.
He is survived by: wife, Margaret L. Wing; sons, John Daniel (Tami) Wing and Robert Keith (Paula) Wing; brothers, Stafford Lee Wing and Randy Wing; sister, Kathy Maloney; grandchildren, Angela Waldridge, John Michael Wing, Amber Maybrey, Elizabeth Thomas, Courtney Smith, Josh Anderson and Christa Wing; great-grandchildren,  Brandon Collett, Chase Waldridge, Sophie Wing, Olivia Maybrey, Lydia Wing and Amelia Maybrey.
Graveside services with military honors will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at Nashville National Cemetery with Rev. Allen Black officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Juliet/West Wilson Senior Citizen Center, 2034 N. Mt. Juliet Rd., Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.

Horace Cole, 55, Mt. Juliet, passed away Jan. 2. 

Cole was a graduate of Mt. Juliet High School in 1976, TN State Jr. Bid-Calling Champion and an active member of the Green Hill church of Christ. He retired from AT&T in 2000 after 25 years of service. 

Cole was preceded in death by father, Horace B. Cole, Sr.; sister, Rhonda Cole; and mother-in-law, Ruby Daugherty. He is survived by wife of seven years, Barbara Cole; children, Michelle (Rick) Barber and Steven (Chrissy) Coker; mother, Ruth Cole; brothers, Mark (Sharon) Cole and Cliff (Tara) Cole; sister, Genita (Shane) Sharp; grandchildren, Bailey, Landon, Lucas and Ashlynn; sister-in-law, Joyce Heard; brother-in-law, Gary Daugherty; and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was Sunday, Jan. 5 at Green Hill church of Christ with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Visitation with the family was Saturday, Jan. 4 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet and prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
