Blanche Faircloth Shankle, Mt. Juliet, died Monday, Dec. 9. 

Shankle was a member of Center Chapel Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class. She was the daughter of the late, James W. and Ellen Seat Faircloth. Mrs. Shankle was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Shankle; son, John Robert “Bobby” Shankle; brother, James W. Faircloth and sister, Mildred Phillips.  

She is survived by: son, David S. Shankle; daughter-in-law, Donna Arrington; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Haynes, Marissa (Alan) Hatcher, Sharon (Paul) Poland, Angela Shankle and R.J. Shankle; nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Brother John Miller officiating. Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Jerry Wayne Ward, 71, Old Hickory, died Saturday, Nov. 30.  

Jerry had served in the National Guard. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting. Jerry was the son of the late, Andrew Jackson and Sarah Warrick Ward. He was also preceded in death by his siblings.

He is survived by: son, Shane (Margaret) Ward; grandchildren, Michael Shane Ward, II and Mary Elisabeth Ward.

Funeral services will be private.

Sarah Geneva Bradshaw was born April 27, 1925 to James Albert and Blanche (Applegarth) Streetman in Dickson County. She passed away Nov. 29 at Alive Hospice of Skyline Medical Center in Madison. She was 88 years of age. 

She is survived by: daughter, Linda Watkins (Larry) of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Kimberley Watkins, Sherrie Hession, Cindy Bradshaw and Tammy Hunter; several great grandchildren, which includes Hunter and Chase Hession, among others. 

Beside her parents, Bradshaw is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Kimball Bradshaw, son William H. Bradshaw, sister Hazel Stewart, Mary “Nan” Lyell, Edna Garrett Balthrop, and brothers Robert and Vardell Streetman. 

Visitation with the family was Monday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday Dec. 3 until the time of service. Funeral service was Tuesday, Dec. 3 from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning with Bro. Black officiating. Burial followed at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sylvia.

CARNAHAN, Edril Aliene

Edril Aliene Carnahan, 87, Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Nov. 29.  

She was the daughter of the late, Vesper C. and Bessie Mae Knight Russell. Carnahan was also preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Carnahan and her brother, Roger Russell. 

She is survived by: sons, Barry Carnahan, Jeffrey(Deborah) Carnahan and Michael Carnahan; daughter, Debbie (Bob) Link; sister, Ellen Slate; grandchildren, Richard Blake Carnahan, Sierra Cheyenne Carnahan and Thomas Link.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Kirby Family Cemetery, 2393 Kirbytown Road, Lafayette, TN.

In lieu of flowers, lift someone up, lend your shoulder to their burden, walk an extra mile in their shoes, above all, be kind and find peace.

Henry Royce Culpepper Jr., 77, Mt. Juliet, died Monday, Nov. 25.  

Culpepper was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet and was retired from LifeWay. He was the son of the late, Henry Royce Culpepper, Sr. and Ruby Jewell Davidson Culpepper. Mr. Culpepper was also preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Clark Culpepper. 

He is survived by: wife, Peggie Jo Culpepper; children, Rick Culpepper, Demoyne Culpepper, Bruce Culpepper and Matthew Culpepper; step-children, Kathy Farler, Sherry Johnson and Debra Short; brother, Malcolm Wicks Culpepper; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2 at Bond Memorial Chapel with David Fallin officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Cliff McClendon Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Journey of Grace at First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet.
